Each year, the MSAC sets ambitious objectives for its exhibition, collection, and education programming, which are achieved through the dedication, enthusiasm, and hard work of MSAC staff and volunteers, with significant support from individuals and organizations within and beyond our regional borders. Starting with this edition, the MSAC begins a regular newsletter feature that highlights the contributions of our important supporters.
For more than ten years, P.E.rt Fine Art Consultants has provided appraisal services in the evaluation of the art collections at the MSAC. Last year, the collection of more than 7,000 art works (the MSAC and University of Guelph art collections combined) was evaluated by P.E.rt Fine Art Consultants under executive director Paul Eichhorn. This was a significant undertaking, as the MSAC continues to grow and curate from its collections.
P.E.rt Fine Art Consultants (formerly V. MacDonnell Fine Art) has been appraising fine art in Canada for two decades. The business continues to develop under Eichhorn’s directorship and now includes communications and marketing services. In addition, Eichhorn is the co-director of W.E. Productions, a firm specializing in the creation of documentaries, and a founder and editor-in-chief of the national arts and culture periodical The Late Harvest Journal of Creative Culture.
In addition to the MSAC, P.E.rt Fine Art Consultants has provided its services to the Art Gallery of Hamilton, Art Gallery of Ontario, Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery, National Gallery of Canada, and the Royal Ontario Museum, among other esteemed institutions, as well as to numerous private companies and individuals.
