Among our current featured artists:

Tim Murton:

Tim grew up in South East England, studied technical education at Ashford Technical College, and construction technology at Portsmouth Polytechnic. He studied in Paris, then worked in the film business as a scenic artist on more than 40 high profile feature films. Five years ago, Tim left the film business and moved to Elora, where he is now an active figure in the local arts community. His painting style ranges from impressionism to photo-realism, and his works are often inspired by the qualities of light.

Margaret Peter:

Margaret Peter is a Guelph painter and printmaker whose interest in texture is reflected in her floral, landscape, and fossil images. Recently she has added collage to her original prints to create an introspection in the viewer regarding the evolution of the land and its creatures. She rejoices in the beauty of nature and the joy and inspiration it brings her. Found objects such as feathers, shells, and fossils inspire her to create images that reflect life in its transient state.

Margaret graduated from Windsor Teacher's College in 1963 and completed her BFA degree at the University of Guelph in 1974. She has taught printmaking courses across Ontario and is presently the printmaking instructor at Wilfred Laurier university. Her participation in numerous juried art shows throughout Southwestern Ontario has brought her many awards and her work can be found in public and private collections around the world.

Annette Twist:

Annette has been a photographer for over twenty years and a fine art photographer for the past six years, graduating from the University of Guelph Studio Arts program in 2005. Annette held her first solo exhibition at Studio 404, Guelph, April 2006. In addition, she has exhibited in Guelph Studio art tours and the Distillery Outdoor art shows.

Her work reflects her innovative approach to traditional subject matter; architecture, botanicals and still life forms. Colour, form and unique compositions are both the challenge and inspiration for her work. Annette thinks of her photographic prints more as paintings than as photographs.
